Edward “Ed” McAssey CPA

Ed McAssey is a seasoned Real Estate Advisor and salesperson on Seven Mile Island. His thoughtful, low-pressure approach is valued by his clients who enjoy living at the shore as much as he does. He is proud to be part of the Avalon Sales Team at Ferguson Dechert LLC, the leading Real Estate Agency on Seven Mile Island. As a licensed Certified Public Accountant, he is very familiar with tax, estate planning, and investment issues that are involved in owning Luxury Real Estate. He also holds BS and MBA degrees from Villanova University.

Before starting his second career in Real Estate in 2021, he served as the Chief Operating Officer of Lasko Products, specializing in home ventilation, for 34 years. He is especially knowledgeable in mortgage financing, home construction, land development, trusts, and tax-free exchanges ( 1031s). In addition to selling Real Estate on the island, Ed has sold properties throughout Cape May County. He works with landlords and tenants on rental properties.

Ed and his wife Linda have owned a home in Avalon since 1996. His four grown children and six grandchildren enjoy visiting them in Avalon. He is on numerous corporate and community boards. Besides the 7 Mile Beaches and Bay, he enjoys golfing at Stone Harbor Golf Club and cycling. Ed and Linda also spend time in Newtown Square, PA, and Naples, FL
